Sibedee's non-CBD 10pm™ Brand Targets 30 Million Sufferers of Restless Legs Syndrome

RLS meets it match.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN, October 14, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sibedee Inc., specializing in sleep-related disorders and based in Minneapolis, MN, has launched its hemp-derived 10pm™ brand with the introduction of 2 products targeted to sufferers of RLS (restless legs syndrome):
1. 10pm™ RLS Relief Gummies
2. 10pm™ RLS Relief Tincture.

Sibedee's 10pm™ RLS Relief products are specially formulated using hemp-derived CBG and Delta-8 THC to help sufferers of RLS get a decent night's sleep. Better sleep results in a more rested body and the minimization of daytime drowsiness and fatigue.

16.5-to-50 Million People Suffer from RLS in the USA Alone.
5%-15% of the general population of the USA suffer from RLS. That is 16.5 million to almost 50 million people! Most people who suffer from RLS are over the age of 40. Women sufferers outnumber men by slightly more than 2-to-1.

Restless legs syndrome (RLS) is a neurological condition that causes considerable impairment to daily living. With RLS, the person experiences uncomfortable tingling or crawling sensations in the legs, accompanied by an uncontrollable urge to move them in order to feel relief. There is no known cause or cure.

Until recently RLS was often treated with dopamine agonists, which often leads to dopaminergic augmentation. That is, the condition can and often does worsen using agonists. Recent international guidelines recommend, whenever possible, to start with treatments that target alpha-2-delta proteins to avoid augmentation from the start.

Sibedee's 10pm™ RLS Relief is a non-dopaminergic alternative to dopamine agonists and targets both the Central Nervous System and the Endocannabinoid System.
10pm™ RLS Relief products target A2-delta proteins located in the brain and CB1/2 receptors located throughout the body. Unique among the cannabinoids, CBG helps activate, deactivate, or stabilize the neurotransmitters responsible for both voluntary and involuntary muscle movment. Delta-8 THC, which is decidedly different from Delta-9 (the THC in marijuana), appears to have a medicinal effect that contributes to a decrease in spontaneous motor activity, reduces anxiety, contributes to overall relaxation, and provides relief from insomnia. Cannabinoids do not seem to cause augmentation. As with all cannabinoids, more study is desirable.

5-15% suffer from RLS. 4-11% suffer from PLMD. 80-90% of RLS sufferers also suffer from PLMD.
Periodic limb movement disorder (PLMD) is a sleep disorder that affects approximately 4% to 11% of the general population. People with PLMD experience repetitive jerking, cramping, or twitching of their lower limbs during sleep every 5 to 90 seconds for up to an hour. These movements disrupt the person's sleep — even if they don't wake up — and cause daytime sleepiness and fatigue as a result.

While PLMD can co-occur with other sleep disorders, it most frequently occurs with RLS. 80-to-90% of people with RLS also have PLMD.

"While it is well known amongst RLS suffers that marijuana can relieve symptoms, a lot of people don't like the feeling of being 'high,' not to mention the legality issues in some states. While CBD might offer some benefit, it was essentially useless in helping to alleviate RLS/PLMD symptoms. Our specially formulated 10pm™ products do help." – Lee Wiest, founder of Sibedee.
