Texas Longhorn football remains on the schedule this fall— for now

College athletic conferences large and small have been pulling the plug on a fall football season due to the coronavirus pandemic. While the Big 12 plans to play on, the prospect of no Longhorn football games in Austin would be even more grim news for downtown and West Campus businesses that rely on games for revenue every fall.
