UPDATE 1-AIRSHOW - Germany, France press ahead on "historic" joint weapons developments

BERLIN, April 26 (Reuters) - German and French officials on Thursday pressed ahead with plans to jointly develop a next-generation fighter jet, a drone and a maritime airborne warfare aircraft, saying the projects showed European unity and strength in an increasingly uncertain world.
