ICF-Designed HUD Exchange Wins Center for Digital Government Project Experience Award

ICF (NASDAQ: ICF), a global consulting and technology services provider, announced today that the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has won a 2017 Digital Government Project Experience Award for its online platform, the HUD Exchange. The platform was created in partnership with ICF.

The award, which was given by the Center for Digital Government, celebrates digital work from jurisdictions and organizations that have radically improved how constituents experience government and push the boundaries of how services are delivered. The HUD Exchange is the only Federal Government Experience category winner.

The HUD Exchange website is a centralized hub where grantees can access resources to implement programs for the benefit of their communities. HUD's grantees include state and local governments, public housing authorities, tribes, private organizations, and their partners. Other audiences include HUD staff, HUD Technical Assistance providers, who provide consulting services to HUD and its grantees, and people looking for housing and homelessness assistance. Approximately 140,000 users visit the website each month.

ICF’s social and community programs and digital experts helped design and build the HUD Exchange, which launched in 2011. The website consists of topical mini-sites, a resource library, trainings, mailing lists, a help desk system, data reports, grantee pages, and a technical assistance portal.

“We are proud to have partnered with HUD on this award-winning site,” said Kris Tremaine, senior vice president at ICF. “It’s exciting to work with forward-thinking agencies to create positive digital experiences for users and also improve efficiencies in the delivery of technical assistance to HUD grantees.”

The Center for Digital Government is a national research and advisory institute on IT policies and best state and local government practices. This is the inaugural year for the Government Experience Awards, which builds on the Center’s legacy Best of the Web Awards, which have recognized and benchmarked state and local government progress online for the past 20 years.
