Factory Orders Rise (May 3)

Factory Orders increased by 3.0%, $13.5 billion, to $462.9 billion in March against expectations that the measure would increase by 1.9%, following a 0.7% increase in February. Factory Orders are up following five consecutive monthly increases. Excluding transportation, Factory Orders increased by 2.6%.
