SPRING, Texas - June 10, 2026 - PRLog -- Practical Education and Knowledge (P.E.A.K.), a private microschool dedicated to supporting neurodivergent learners, is nearing capacity for the 2026â2027 school year and has begun preparing a waitlist as enrollment demand continues to grow.
Serving students in grades Kâ12, P.E.A.K. provides an alternative educational environment for learners who benefit from individualized instruction, smaller class sizes, and a relationship-centered approach to education. The school serves students with a variety of learning profiles, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, anxiety, OCD, PDA, and other learning differences.
As enrollment has increased, P.E.A.K. recently expanded its physical campus and is already exploring the possibility of opening a second location in the future to help meet the growing need for specialized educational options in the Greater Houston area.
"The demand we've seen over the past year highlights how many families are searching for educational environments where their children can truly thrive," said Christina Dougay, Director and Founder of P.E.A.K. "Families are looking for schools that recognize their child's strengths, provide meaningful support, and prepare them not only academically, but for greater independence in everyday life."
The school's educational model focuses on individualized learning pathways, executive functioning skills, emotional regulation, independent living skills, and academic growth. In addition to core academics, students have opportunities to develop practical life skills such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, organization, self-advocacy, and other skills that promote greater independence both at school and at home.
Beginning in the 2026â2027 school year, students will participate in dedicated subject-area instruction through specialized classrooms for English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies while continuing to receive personalized support tailored to their individual needs.
Unlike traditional school environments, P.E.A.K. prioritizes flexibility, relationship-building, and student well-being alongside academic achievement. This approach has attracted families from across the Greater Houston area who are seeking educational options that recognize and support neurodivergent learners.
With enrollment approaching capacity, interested families are encouraged to schedule a tour and begin the admissions process as soon as possible. Families who inquire after available seats have been filled will be offered placement on the school's waitlist.
