NEW YORK, NY, RALEIGH, NC, and LOS ANGELES, CA - (NewMediaWire) - May 23, 2024 -   American Picture House (OTC:  APHP), an entertainment company with a focus on producing feature films and limited series shows, and developing content-enhancing entertainment technologies, today announced the appointment of Mr. Jonathan Sanger as President of the Company.

Mr. Jonathan Sanger has enjoyed a successful career of over 40 years as both a movie and theatre producer.  To date his films have received 3 Academy Awards, 21 Academy Award Nominations, a British Academy Film award and a French Cesar among numerous other awards.

Jonathan’s film producing credits include but are not limited to The Elephant Man, directed by David Lynch starring Anthony Hopkins and John Hurt; Frances, starring Jessica Lange and Sam Shepard; Without Limits, starring Billy Crudup and Donald Sutherland; Vanilla Sky, starring Tom Cruise and Penelope Cruz; and The Producers—The Musical, starring Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick and Cabrini, an epic origin film about Mother Cabrini starring Cristiana Dell’Anna,  John Lithgow, David Morse, and Giancarlo Giannini.

Mr. Sanger recently produced Chapter & Verse, starring Loretta Divine, Daniel Beaty, and Amari Hardwick and Marshall, starring Chadwick Boseman, Kate Hudson, Josh Gad, and Sterling K. Brown.

Among Sanger’s numerous director credits are more than 15 episodic TV shows, including Twin PeaksWiseguy and LA Law.  He directed Code Name Emerald, starring Ed Harris and Max Von Sydow and Down Came A Blackbird starring Laura Dern and Vanessa Redgrave which was nominated for 3 Cable Ace Awards.  He directed several movies of the week, wrote and directed the short film entitled Peacemaker with Lucas Haas for PBS which won the Houston International Film Festival’s first prize for Best Short Subject.

Michael “M.J.” Jones named as Director of Business Affairs of APHP

Additionally, APHP has named Mr. Michael (“M.J.”) Jones as Director of Business Affairs. Michael “M.J.” Jones has been involved with films for over 25 years. After graduating from West Los Angeles College with an AA Degree in Liberal Arts with an emphasis on Film Production, he started his career in casting on movies such as: Set it Off, Boyz in the Hood and Menace to Society, and television shows such as Hoops, Living Single and Martin. He left the movie industry to start a family. After a long and productive career in the public sector, he returned to the film industry as an Associate Producer on the film Marshall starring Chadwick Boseman, Kate Hudson, Josh Gad, Sterling K. Brown and Dan Stevens. His latest film Cabrini is about the first American Nun to ever be sainted. It stars Christiana Del'Anna. 

Chauncey T. Jones MD Joins the Board of Directors of APHP

Dr. Chauncey T. Jones is an anesthesiologist who graduated from Stanford University School of Medicine in 2003. After completing his Anesthesiology training from Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Jones joined Northwest Anesthesiology and Pain Services in Houston, Texas where he continues to act as Managing Partner.
