United Windows & Siding announced plans to launch a community initiative on April 15, 2026, providing a full window replacement at no cost to an Iowa family facing hardship, with nominations and oversight coordinated in partnership with a local nonprofit Kingdom Financial Academy.
-- United Windows & Siding, a Cedar Rapids–based exterior remodeling company, announced plans to launch a new community initiative aimed at assisting Iowa families in need who cannot afford necessary window or siding repairs due to hardship or unexpected life events. The program is scheduled to open on April 15, 2026, and is being developed in partnership with a local nonprofit, Kingdom Financial Academy, with co-founder Daniel Shalach assisting in overseeing nominations, eligibility screening, and coordination with the selected family.
The initiative was shaped by firsthand experiences over recent years, as company crews encountered homes where severely deteriorated windows were contributing to unsafe living conditions, excessive heating costs, and moisture-related damage—yet full replacement remained financially out of reach for the homeowners. “There are families living with windows that should have been replaced years ago, but other responsibilities always come first,” said Adrian Sanchez, owner of United Windows & Siding. “As a husband, father, and homeowner, I understand how failing windows affect utility bills, safety, and peace of mind. We wanted the community to help point us to a home where this project would truly remove a burden—not just improve appearances.”
The selected family will receive a full window replacement at no cost, including materials, labor, and project oversight, up to a total value of $50,000. Installation will be completed by United Windows & Siding’s professional crews following the drawing and scheduling confirmation. Rather than selecting a recipient internally, United Windows & Siding chose to involve the community in identifying need. Area residents will be invited to nominate families, with submissions reviewed and vetted by the nonprofit partner, Kingdom Financial Academy, before a family is selected through a public drawing.
“United Windows & Siding’s involvement allowed us to reach individuals and families who needed clear guidance and stability during a critical time in 2025,” said Daniel Isaiah Shalach of Kingdom Financial Academy. “We appreciate their support and the way they stepped in to serve without seeking recognition.” Daniel Shalach will assist with nomination intake and support the selected family throughout the duration of the project.
United Windows & Siding serves homeowners across Cedar Rapids and Eastern Iowa, specializing in window replacement and exterior improvements designed for Midwest weather conditions. Company leadership stated that this program is intended to be the first in a series of community-driven initiatives. Additional details regarding nomination procedures, eligibility requirements, and the drawing timeline will be released publicly in the coming weeks.
