Virginia Residential Teen Mental Health Facility: Inpatient Treatment Launched

Mission Prep (866 938 5113) announces new inpatient mental health treatment for teens in Virginia through its specially equipped residential facility.

-- Booking residential mental health via the new program provides access to round-the-clock support in a structured environment: teens benefit from a balanced daily routine, with treatments based on their situation. Additionally, they get a clean break from negative mental health influences.

Mission Prep is able to provide gender-specific and inclusive housing - part of its focus on ensuring a safe environment for all patients - and it works closely with local hospitals when needed, creating a comprehensive care plan.

The program is in response to a growing need highlighted by World Health Organization data showing one in seven adolescents between 10 and 19 years old experience mental health disorders. Mission Prep aims to help address the gap in residential treatment options for young people facing mental health challenges.

Six-bed houses offer shared rooms with plenty of space for personal belongings, and teens can bring items from home like their phones, chargers, and even guitars to maintain some familiar comforts while receiving treatment.

The program helps teens dealing with anxiety, depression, mood and thought disorders, PTSD, technology addiction, and more. Each condition receives specialized attention through a mix of proven therapeutic approaches and newer treatment methods.

Teens participate in several group activities throughout their stay, including family sessions every two weeks, weekly music therapy through Rock to Recovery, nutrition education, and yoga classes. They also take part in weekly gardening groups, while a full-time art therapist leads both group and one-on-one creative sessions.

The program puts equal emphasis on physical health through regular outdoor activities - with teens joining surf therapy sessions every two weeks, monthly skateboarding groups, and a range of experiential outings. The fitness program includes weekly personal training, boxing sessions, yoga classes, and open gym time.

A spokesperson states: "Our residential treatment centers offer a secure setting where you can access the support and direction you need for growth. Through a range of services, our commitment lies in empowering teenagers to overcome challenges and establish the groundwork for a promising future."
