Grant Fund Applications – Act Now!

The Rice Family Foundation (“Foundation”) was established in 2017 by Michael & Jane Rice and Dylan & Stacie Lissette, third and fourth-generation members of the Utz Brands, Inc. family. The Foundation was established to provide leadership and support for the education, health and well-being of families in Hanover, Pennsylvania, and the surrounding communities.

Using funds granted by the Foundation, The Rice Family Foundation supports eligible non-profit organizations that dedicate their time, efforts and resources to strengthen communities. This work is made possible by the philanthropic commitment of the Rice and Lissette families.

In 2025, grant funding supported a wide range of organizations advancing meaningful work in our communities. Recipients included Ruth’s Harvest, a free ministry of the Hanover Area Council of Churches that provides essential nourishment to children facing food insecurity; the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, which works tirelessly to reduce hunger across 27 counties; and New Hope Ministries, a nonprofit offering compassionate support to individuals and families experiencing financial hardship, illness, or crisis by meeting their most basic needs. These were just a few of the many impactful organizations supported throughout the year.

The deadline for consideration of 2026 grant funds is no later than July 31, 2026, and can be made by visiting the Foundation’s Application page.

“As we look ahead to 2026, we are honored to once again support nonprofit organizations that are strengthening the communities we proudly call home,” said Jane Rice, Co-Founder of The Rice Family Foundation. “Each of these groups brings dedication, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to meeting critical needs. We are grateful for the opportunity to help them broaden their impact and continue the meaningful work that changes lives every day.”

The Rice Family Foundation will accept applications through a detailed process, which can be found at http://www.thericefamilyfoundation.com/grant. Applications for 2026 can be submitted online or in hard copy by U.S. mail and will be accepted until July 31, 2026. Awards will be announced and distributed no later than December 31, 2026.
