Employee survey results highlight company’s welcoming culture and dedication to community engagement
For the sixth year in a row, Great Place To Work® and Fortune magazine recognized PulteGroup (NYSE: PHM) as one of the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For®. PulteGroup ranks 67th on the 2026 list of top national employers, reflecting the company’s continued efforts to build a culture where all employees feel welcome, respected, and empowered.
“Our vision is to be considered the most respected homebuilder in America,” said Ryan Marshall, PulteGroup President and Chief Executive Officer. “We can only achieve this vision if we continue to nurture a culture where our people are valued and respected both for who they are and for the contributions they make to our shared success. Our ongoing recognition in the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For list reflects the direct feedback of our colleagues across the country, who I consider to be the very best in the industry. I am proud of their contributions to our company, the communities we serve, and each other.”
The Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For is selected by Great Place To Work®, the world's leading authority on workplace culture, and is based on confidential employee feedback from millions of U.S. employees.
More than 5,600 PulteGroup employees participated in the survey, resulting in:
- 93% of respondents agreeing that PulteGroup is a great place to work.
- 96% of employees saying they were made to feel welcome when they joined the company.
- 94% of employees feeling good about the ways PulteGroup contributes to the community.

Along with the employee survey results, PulteGroup provided a comprehensive submission detailing the company’s robust training and benefits, work environment, and policies that recognize, reward, and develop the company's 6,600 employees. These include competitive benefits packages and leadership development opportunities that invest in employees at every level. PulteGroup's Built to Honor program, which builds and donates mortgage-free homes to wounded veterans, further reflects the company's values, with employees eagerly volunteering their time and resources across more than 100 homes completed since the program's inception.
The Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For list is more than an award. It’s data-backed proof of the health and vitality of an organization. Companies that make the list have consistently outperformed the stock market over 28 years of cumulative returns.
Eligible companies must be Great Place to Work Certified™ and have 1,000 or more U.S. employees. Winners are assessed on their ability to create a great employee experience that cuts across job level, business unit, demographic group, or geographic location.
“Trust in the organization is a leading indicator of business performance,” says Michael C. Bush, CEO of Great Place To Work. “When employees trust their leaders, they are more willing to give extra effort, embrace innovation like new AI tools, and deliver a better experience to customers.”
The result is the Great Place To Work Effect, where companies can see how leadership behaviors drive measurable changes in their financial performance.
“The companies on this list know that trust is a competitive edge — one that can’t be stolen or mimicked by competitors or replaced by machines,” Bush says. “In the face of market uncertainty, the data proves that high-trust workplaces see faster growth and higher returns.”
"Fortune is proud to collaborate with Great Place To Work for the 29th year to recognize the 100 Best Companies to Work For. Amid a fast-evolving workplace landscape, employees said these organizations continue to set the standard for cultures built on trust, innovation, and care for their people. Congratulations to all who earned a place on this year’s list,” says Alyson Shontell, Fortune editor in chief and chief content officer.
Outside of the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For list, PulteGroup has been consistently recognized across additional Fortune and Great Place to Work distinctions, including Best Workplaces for Women, Best Workplaces in Construction, and Best Workplaces for Millennials, as well as earning Great Place to Work Certification and recognition as one of PEOPLE's Companies that Care.
