Cross River Opens Full-Service Branch in Delaware, Further Expanding Access to Credit and Banking Services Nationwide

Strategic expansion strengthens partnerships and advances mission to modernize banking

Cross River Bank (“Cross River”), a technology infrastructure provider that offers embedded financial solutions, today announced the opening of its full-service branch in Wilmington, Delaware. The expansion marks a significant milestone in Cross River's mission to broaden access to financial services and deliver innovative banking solutions across the country.

The Delaware branch positions Cross River to reach more borrowers with vital credit solutions, delivering access to those who need it most. The full-service branch will offer consumer and small business credit product origination, deposit services, check processing, and lending services. Through this expansion, Cross River strengthens its competitive positioning, enables closer collaboration with regional partners and taps into an exceptional fintech talent pool to support continued growth.

“Opening a branch in Delaware is a significant growth opportunity for Cross River,” said Gilles Gade, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Cross River. “Our Delaware branch positions us to better serve partners and consumers alike, delivering credit solutions and banking services on a broader scale. Delaware has established itself as a champion of fintech innovation, and we're excited to bring Cross River to a state that fosters innovation and supports our commitment to expanding access to financial services.”

The Company’s decision to expand into Delaware aligns with the state's demonstrated commitment to fostering financial technology innovation. Governor Matt Meyer has been a champion for fintech advancement, establishing the Delaware Artificial Intelligence Commission to position the state at the forefront of emerging technology. Additionally, the state's investments in the Fintech Innovation Hub reflect the kind of bold, forward-thinking approach that aligns with Cross River's mission to modernize banking and expand financial access for all Americans.

“Cross River’s new full-service branch in Wilmington will bring high-quality jobs to Downtown, strengthen our state's fintech ecosystem, and expand access to responsible credit and modern banking services for the people who need them most,” said Delaware Governor Matt Meyer. “We’re proud to welcome Cross River to the First State, and we’ll keep partnering with innovators who are committed to building the future of fintech with transparency, strong consumer protections, and people at the center.”

The new branch is located at 1000 N. West Street, in Downtown Wilmington. The location places Cross River in the heart of Wilmington's thriving business district. 1000 N. West, formerly known as the Brandywine Building, is a landmark commercial office building within Buccini Pollin Group (BPG)'s Market West campus.

“We’re excited to welcome Cross River to Market West for its Delaware home, further strengthening the district as an amenity-rich campus for the region’s leading financial services and innovative technology companies,” said Chris Buccini, founder of Buccini Pollin Group. “Cross River selecting 1000 N. West reflects the vibrant mixed-use destination we’ve carefully curated to attract and retain top talent, supported by a $160 million recent investment in the district.”
