BARR Advisory, a global cybersecurity and compliance firm, today announced its accreditation by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) to conduct SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 examinations in accordance with internationally recognized requirements for quality, impartiality, and consistency.

The accreditation follows a rigorous assessment and provides third-party validation that BARR possesses the management systems, personnel qualifications, and commitment to objectivity required under ISO/IEC 17020:2026 to reliably conduct SOC 2 examinations.

The achievement comes just months after BARR announced that it had achieved authorization as a Certified CMMC Third-Party Assessor Organization (C3PAO), allowing the firm to perform formal certification assessments for organizations pursuing Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2 compliance.

BARR also received the highest possible rating of “pass” in its 2026 peer review, continuing a track record of successfully passing every peer review since the firm’s founding.
