New partnership offers DAISY Honorees tuition support to further their education.

Walden University, a Covista (NYSE: CVSA) institution, has been named a DAISY Extraordinary Educational Partner by The DAISY Foundation, creating new opportunities for nurses recognized for extraordinary care to continue their educational and professional growth. DAISY Honorees are recognized for delivering the kind of compassionate, high-impact care that defines nursing excellence. This partnership gives them an affordable path to build on that excellence with an advanced degree from Walden.

"We are thrilled that our partnership with Walden University will enable DAISY Honorees to have more opportunities to reduce the financial burden of continuing their education," said Bonnie Barnes, co-founder of The DAISY Foundation. "Walden has been honoring faculty and students with The DAISY Award for years, and this partnership is another way for both our organizations to take meaningful recognition to another level and serve patient care and the nursing profession."

As part of the partnership, DAISY Honorees receive a tuition reduction when they enroll in a Walden program, and it can be combined with other Walden tuition benefits they may already qualify for, such as a discount through a professional nursing organization. Nurses who have given so much to their patients deserve every opportunity to grow their skills and advance their careers.

The timing of the partnership reflects a growing need for a stronger pipeline of advanced-practice nurses. Walden's College of Nursing prepares registered nurses to advance into master's and doctoral-level practice at exactly the moment the profession needs them most. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects nurse practitioner employment to grow 40% between 2024 and 2034, among the fastest-growing occupations in the country.

Walden University's College of Nursing offers 36 nursing programs, certificates, and specializations, spanning the BSN, MSN, DNP, and PhD in Nursing, including nine MSN specializations, such as Family Nurse Practitioner, Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. This summer, nursing degrees accounted for more than 40% of Walden's graduating class, underscoring the university's role in preparing the next generation of compassionate nurses.

"My family has experienced firsthand the profound impact nurses have on patients and those who care about them," said Dr. Sue Subocz, Associate President and Provost, Chief Academic Officer at Walden University. "Their clinical skill, compassion and dedication leave a lasting impression. This partnership is one way we can recognize those contributions and help exceptional nurses continue their education and expand their impact."

Walden's partnership builds on Chamberlain University's long-standing relationship with The DAISY Foundation, extending Covista's DAISY-aligned education pathway to a second institution and giving Honorees even more ways to advance their skills.

"Walden is proud to partner with The DAISY Foundation to recognize extraordinary nurses and invest in their continued growth as leaders, caregivers, and advocates for the communities they serve," Subocz added.
