Ed Freedman’s Stable Road Foundation Partners with Global Empowerment Mission to Deliver over $1.6 Million in Critical Aid to Israel

Maui-based philanthropist Ed Freedman and his Stable Road Foundation have announced a $100,00 donation to non-profit Global Empowerment Mission (GEM), which will allow them to deliver $1.6 million in critical aid directly to Israeli civilians who have been displaced by the devastating Israel-Hamas War.

“Like you, we are overcome with grief as events unfold in the Middle East,” says Ed Freedman, founder of Stable Road Foundation. “Our donation will allow for maximum impact to help Jewish families and children who have been displaced by this terrible war.”

Over 100 pallets of aid have been sent to Israel from GEM’s warehouse in Miami, totaling $1.6 million dollars in aid. Distribution efforts are being carried out in close collaboration and partnership with on-the-ground Israeli organizations, including the kibbutz movement, to deliver essential items such as Kosher food, clothing, first aid kits, diapers, baby food, sleeping bags, air mattresses, and much more. The list of distributed goods is continuously updated based on the evolving needs and requests from each kibbutz and town.

“Stable Road Foundation has been instrumental in supporting GEM’s efforts around the world,” says Michael Capponi, founder of GEM. “They are making it possible for us to send millions of dollars in life-saving aid to the people in Israel who need our help. We look forward to continue providing relief and empowering communities around the world with our friends at Stable Road Foundation.”

Global Empowerment Mission (GEM) was founded in 2010 to provide disaster relief to communities in need around the world. Over the years, the organization has conducted 355 missions in 52 countries. It is one of the few nonprofits in the world to hold a 99% rating on Charity Navigator.

Stable Road Foundation is also currently working together with Global Empowerment Mission to provide aid to Maui after the Lahaina fires, one of the worst disasters in U.S. history. Stable Road Foundation is matching all donations up to $500,000, please donate today.
