LISLE, Ill. - July 15, 2026 - Unduit, a global IT asset lifecycle management platform, announced AI-enabled capabilities across its IT asset management (ITAM) and IT service management (ITSM) tools. The update gives IT teams real-time visibility into devices, automates routine tickets, and flags problems before they cause downtime.

The Company That's Been Doing This Since Before It Was Cool

Unduit has spent years helping companies manage devices from procurement to retirement. The platform covers procurement, deployment, tracking, recovery, resale, and recycling, in more than 100 countries.

Gartner Called It. Now Everyone Else Is Catching Up.

The timing lines up with a broader industry shift. Gartner has identified managed device lifecycle services, or MDLS, as a fast-growing category. The firm expects more than 70% of enterprises to adopt this kind of service model by 2028, up from under 35% today. That shift means fewer companies managing devices with spreadsheets and manual handoffs, and more turning to platforms built for scale.

They're supporting more devices, more locations, and more risk, often with the same headcount. AI in ITAM and ITSM isn't about replacing IT staff. It's about giving them back the time they lose to manual tracking and repetitive tickets."

What's Actually Happening All Day

Here's what the AI features do, in practical terms:

  • Ticket routing: Support requests get sorted and assigned automatically, so common issues get resolved faster without a person triaging every ticket.

  • Predictive maintenance: The system flags devices likely to fail or need service, before they become a help desk problem.

  • Asset visibility: IT leaders can see where every device is, who has it, and its status, in real time, instead of chasing spreadsheets.

  • Faster recovery: When an employee leaves, the platform helps track down and reclaim devices instead of losing them to attrition.

  • Audit-ready records: Compliance documentation stays current automatically, cutting down the scramble before audits.

Unduit says the goal is simple: fewer manual steps, faster resolutions, and a clearer picture of a company's IT footprint at any given moment.

The company plans to roll out the new features to existing customers over the coming months, with early access already underway for select accounts.
