The Ciena Corporation 2009 Annual Meeting of
Shareholders will be held on March 25, 2009 at The
Westin Baltimore Washington Airport BWI, 1110 Old Elkridge Landing Road, Linthicum, MD 21090, at
3:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Directions to the annual meeting can be found in the proxy statement.
Proposals to be voted on at the meeting are listed below along with the Board of Directors recommendations.
