Item 5.02		Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers

On March 22, 2007, the Compensation Committee of the Steelcase Inc. (the “Company”) Board of Directors approved an increase in the annual base salary of David C. Sylvester, the Company’s Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, to $365,000. The increase will be effective as of May 7, 2007, which is the effective date for merit increases for all other corporate and Steelcase Inc. North America salaried employees.
