AU Optronics Corp. Reports November 2009 Consolidated Revenue

Hsinchu, Taiwan, December 8, 2009 –

AU Optronics Corp. ("AUO" or the "Company") (TAIEX: 2409; NYSE: AUO) today announced its preliminary consolidated November 2009 revenue of NT$38,422 million, down by 3% from the previous month but up 116.4% from the same period last year.

The large-sized panel (a) shipments for November 2009, with applications on desktop monitor, notebook PC, and LCD TV, were close to 9.32 million units, an increase of 4.1% from October 2009. As to small- and -medium-sized panels, the shipments were about 18.3 million units, down by 29.3% from last month since some applications are in seasonal slowdown.
