On June 24, 2002 Specialty Laboratories, Inc., (the "Registrant") announced the appointment of Terrance H. Gregg to the Registrant's Board of Directors. Gregg is currently President of Medtronic MiniMed. He replaces Paul F. Beyer who resigned as a Director.
