ITEM  5.02. DEPARTURE OF DIRECTORS OR CERTAIN OFFICERS; ELECTION OF DIRECTORS; APPOINTMENT OF CERTAIN OFFICERS; COMPENSATORY ARRANGEMENTS OF CERTAIN OFFICERS

Effective June 1, 2010, John R. (“Jack”) Block elected to resign from the Blast Energy Services, Inc. (“Blast”) board of directors to spend more time on his family’s agricultural business in Illinois. Blast’s origins were in the agricultural industry which was Jack’s background and about which he made substantial contributions. Blast has evolved over time and now operates in the oil and gas industry and Jack elected to leave Blast to allow the board to attract new Board members from that industry.

Board Chairman, Pat Herbert, would like to thank Jack for his many years of dedicated service to the Company and wishes him all the best on his future endeavors.
