Release of Two New Titles on DVD

CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED DRAMA “CHAPTER 27” AVAILABLE SEPTEMBER 30

AND ROMANTIC COMEDY “WATCHING THE DETECTIVES” IN STORES ON AUGUST 12

TORONTO, June 9, 2008 – Peace Arch^® Entertainment Group Inc. (AMEX:PAE - News) (TSX:PAE.TO - News), an integrated global entertainment company, today announced that its critically acclaimed feature film “Chapter 27” will be released on DVD on September 30.  In addition, the company’s direct-to-disc romantic comedy “Watching the Detectives” will be in stores beginning August 12.  Both will be distributed in the U.S. by Genius Products, LLC.

The psychological drama “Chapter 27,” a controversial exploration of  Mark David Chapman’s gradual breakdown during the days leading up to his murder of music icon John Lennon, features a riveting performance by Jared Leto (“Requiem For A Dream,” “Panic Room” and “Fight Club”), along with Judah Friedlander (“Zoolander” and “Meet The Parents”) and Lindsay Lohan (“Mean Girls,” “Freaky Friday” and “Herbie Fully Loaded”).  Jarrett Schaefer wrote and directed the film produced by Robert Salerno, Naomi Despres and Alexandra Milchan.  “Chapter 27” had its world premiere at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival and its European premiere at the Zurich Film Festival, where Schaefer won the prize for best debut feature.  The film premiered theatrically in the U.S. on March 28, 2008, opening as the #1 per screen average ($13,900) film in the country.

In “Watching the Detectives,” Neil, a self proclaimed film geek and owner of Gumshoe Video, has always been content to live vicariously through his favorite films noir.  But when he meets Violet, a real-life femme fatale, his mundane world gets turned upside down and the line between reality and the movies quickly begins to blur.

Written and directed by Paul Soter, the film stars Cillian Murphy (“28 Days Later” and “Cold Mountain”) and Lucy Liu (“Kill Bill: Volume 1” and ”Charlie’s Angels: Full Throtle”).

“Watching the Detectives” made its world premiere at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival on May 1, 2007.
