FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PEACE ARCH ENTERTAINMENT GROUP ANNOUNCES

CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED US PREMIERE OF “THE GOOD SHEPHERD” AND INTERNATIONAL SCREENING OF “OUR FATHERS” AT BERLIN FILM FESTIVAL

TORONTO, ONT. – Peace Arch Entertainment Group Inc. (AMEX and TSX: PAE), a diversified Canadian entertainment group, is pleased to announce the U.S. premiere of its new suspense thriller The Good Shepherd at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.  “A must see for anyone interested in film noir and psychological mysteries” –Santa Barbara U.S. Premiere Review.

With an all-star cast led by Christian Slater (The Name of the Rose, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves), Molly Parker (Deadwood, Men With Brooms), Stephen Rea (The Crying Game, Interview With A Vampire) and Gordon Pinsent (The Shipping News, Terrified), The Good Shepherd is the latest from veteran screenwriter Brad Mirman (Knight Moves, Body of Evidence) and has been lauded as “a smart example of balanced commerciality and uncompromising integrity” that is “more than simply another whodunit” –Box Office Online.  Combined with Lewin Webb’s adroit direction, this chilling psychological drama embraces the elements of its genre while successfully balancing them with “riskier twists that consistently defy expectations” – it’s not only a mystery, but also one man’s search to regain his faith.

Separately, Peace Arch announced that Our Fathers, the first of an anticipated 15 pictures between Peace Arch and Showtime Networks Inc., a subsidiary of Viacom Inc., has now been completed and was presented in screenings to the international market community this past week at the Berlin Film Festival.

Our Fathers is the epic account of a small-time lawyer who uncovers the systemic cover-up of child abuse by priests in the Boston Archdiocese.  The film is directed by Dan Curtis from a screenplay by Thomas Michael Donnelly based on the critically acclaimed novel Our Fathers: The Secret Live of the Catholic Church in an Age of Scandal, by David France.  Ted Danson (Saving Private Ryan and 3 Men and a Little Lady), Christopher Plummer (A Beautiful Mind and The Insider), Daniel Baldwin (Homicide: Life on the Street), Ellen Burstyn (Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood and The Exorcist) and Brian Dennehy (Stolen Summer and Romeo & Juliet) lead the stellar cast.

Peace Arch Entertainment Group Inc. (www.peacearch.com), one of Canada’s foremost entertainment companies, creates, develops, produces and distributes proprietary feature film and television programming for worldwide markets.  Peace Arch Entertainment Group Inc. and its subsidiaries have offices in Vancouver, Toronto, Los Angeles and London, England.
