Festival organizers have also announced further information about the musical artists who will be featured at the Caveman Music Festival. The current lineup for the weekend features many talented local and national artists, including Dawes, Jamestown Revival, Suzanne Santo, Shane Smith & the Saints, The Droptines, Red Shahan, and Danielle Nicole. Attendees will enjoy performances on the concert main stage, as well as a second, smaller stage.

The Caveman Music Festival made its debut in 2022, when 5000 fans attended the inaugural event. The festival prides itself on featuring Americana music. An organizer says, “Americana music is an amalgam of American music formed by the confluence of the shared and varied traditions that make up the musical ethos of the United States, specifically those sounds that emerged from the Southern United States, such as folk, gospel, western, jazz, rhythm and blues, rock and roll, bluegrass, and other external influences.”

The location for the Caveman Music Festival is Colorado’s Monument Lake Resort, situated near the famous Sangre de Cristo mountains. The resort offers scenic vistas and historic culture, as well as a local fish hatchery. When not enjoying music, concert attendees will have plenty of opportunities for hiking, trout fishing, and outdoor exploration.

Hiking fans will have access to 368 acres of terrain between Trinidad and La Veta, with several day-hike options in the Sangre de Cristo mountains. A range of boating activities is also on offer at the resort, including pontoon rentals for up to 14 passengers. For fishing fans, Monument Lake boasts brown and rainbow trout that can reach up to eight pounds in weight.

For those attendees who do not wish to stay at Monument Lake Resort, other accommodation options are available, including on-site camping.
