Buckleband Launches First Ever Resistance Band With Buckle

By: Get News
The brand offers premium looped resistance bands featuring a custom-made buckle, designed to make resistance bands much easier to use.

Los Angeles – April 15, 2021 – Buckleband, the world’s first premium resistance band with a buckle, officially launched its direct-to-consumer website this month. Conceived and designed in Los Angeles, Buckleband was born from the need for a more versatile and easier to use resistance band. Recognizing how effective resistance bands are as a fitness tool, Buckleband sought to create a premium version of the traditional looped resistance band, but with a buckle designed to allow for much greater ease of use. For the mobility challenged – or anyone doing fast motion exercises – resistance bands are tricky to get on and off. The buckle solves this problem. Resistance That Clicks™!

Buckleband sells a four (4) pack of bands with different resistance levels: light, medium, heavy and extra heavy. Each set includes a travel bag. The bands are made from medical grade silicone and the buckle is a highly durable nylon blend. Each Buckleband is tested to twice its intended resistance level to ensure strength and durability.

The COVID-19 pandemic paved the way for Buckleband, as many people turned to home fitness and easily transportable fitness equipment. In line with Buckleband’s mission to create an accessible product, the price point, under $50 for the set, also appeals to those not wanting to invest in the high cost of traditional weights or cardio equipment, or those who simply do not have the space which gym equipment can require.

In discussing how he came up with the idea for Buckleband, creator Ryan Zimmerman recalled seeing a trainer at his gym often cut resistance bands in half and tie them around his clients’ legs. This led to Zimmerman’s “aha moment” where he realized resistance bands could be so much easier to use if they had a buckle. Much research into the use of resistance bands, specifically their importance to those in physical therapy or anyone with a mobility issue, whether this be due to age, pregnancy – anything – confirmed the need for Buckleband. Over a year was then spent developing the design and prototype of Buckleband; the product was reengineered from scratch as a true premium looped resistance band – with a buckle.

Buckleband has also partnered with KEEN New York, a non-profit organization that empowers youth with disabilities by providing free non-competitive programs of exercise, fitness and fun. KEEN (Kids Enjoy Exercise Now) is a volunteer-based organization training community leaders in the areas of diversity and inclusion through its unique one-to-one pairing model. Buckleband believes in KEEN’s mission and is proud to provide them with Bucklebands free of charge.
