Leicester Cleaning Company Celebrates Start Of National Cleaning Week after Nation Marks One Year Spent in Lockdown

By: Issuewire

Coalville, Leicestershire Mar 26, 2021 (Issuewire.com) - Taking place 28th March to 3rd April 2021, National Cleaning Week offers industry professionals the chance to celebrate and advocate the immense value of their work.

The annual event, which always begins on the fourth Sunday in March and coincides with many peoples' annual spring clean, takes on new significance this year, as the nation recently marked the anniversary of the start of the country's lockdown.

Tim Blacknell, Managing Director of commercial cleaning company MCS Cleaning, says there has never been a more important time to celebrate those in the industry who have been tirelessly working behind the scenes of the COVID-19 pandemic to make our home and work environments safe:

"The year of suffering bought about by the COVID-19 pandemic has taught people and businesses around the world that cleanliness and hygiene practices should be core elements of everyday life. National Cleaning Week is a time to recognize the ongoing efforts of frontline cleaning professionals, provide essential workers with opportunities for growth and be advocates for our industry. The lessons in cleanliness we've all learned from the COVID-19 pandemic will go a long way to shaping the future of good hygiene and cleaning practices."

Other industry experts reinforce Blacknell's comments.

The leading worldwide association for the cleaning industry, ISSA, which promote the strength of the global cleaning community, will also be holding its own celebration for National Cleaning Week and invite others in the cleaning sector to do the same:

"The pandemic has presented many challenges for our industry and for the people who rely on cleaning expertise, products, and services," said ISSA Executive Director John Barrett to CleanLink Magazine. "We are excited to take a moment to celebrate just how far the industry has come in the last year and to envision where the next year will take us."
