Philippines' Duterte calls for action to reduce the risk of military conflict in the South China Sea

President Rodrigo Duterte of the Philippines is calling for action to lessen the chance of conflict in the South China Sea, where the U.S. and other countries are using their navies to challenge Chinese assertions of sovereignty.
