"Stand-up And Vote!" A San Diego Election Day Fair Elections Charity Event Put On By Local Comedy Professionals That Is No Joke!

SAN DIEGO - Nov. 4, 2018 - PRLog -- This election day stand-up comics across San Diego County are pitching in to encourage voting and solicit donations to ensure fair elections nationwide. They call it "Stand-up And Vote!" and for those looking for a fun way to spend the night laughing, after voting in this election or while waiting for election returns to come in…  What could be better than going to a location near you, showing your "I voted" sticker at the door, or not, the event is open to all, putting a donation in the "Stand-up And Vote!" donation box* and enjoying some of the best stand-up comedians San Diego has to offer?

"Stand-up and Vote!" is a collaboration of local charity fundraisers,  stand-up comedy promoters, venues and stand-up comics," says "Ad Maius Bonum" local representative,  Lionel Prout, Jr. the originator of the event. Ad Maius Bonum is a California non-profit organization, (with its own 501(c)(3) application in process) that raises funds to support it's donations to charities that work for the greater good. "Election day will be a great way see local stand-up at a nominal cost while supporting our activities and the non-partisan good work of the Fair Elections Center in Washington, DC. If all goes well, we hope to take our unique election day stand-up comedy fundraising benefit concept national next year."

Stand-up is the art form of everyday people and voting is the tool regular people use to effect change. Too often we see those with money and power attempt to subvert free and fair elections and impose the agenda of a specific minority upon the majority and silence the common voice of the masses. The Fair Elections Center is a national, nonpartisan voting rights and election reform organization which works to remove barriers to registration and voting. And Ad Maius Bonum through it's "Stand-up And Vote!" Election Day Benefit Event is happy to support their efforts and others like them.
