Second Annual 5K Beer Run Continues to Support Local Foundation with the Help of Texas Breweries

Second annual Tap-Tober 5K Beer Run continues to support Project Angel Fares, a foundation benefiting children with special needs, with the help of Texas breweries.
SAN ANTONIO - Oct. 14, 2015 - PRLog -- Project Angel Fares’ second annual Tap-Tober 5K Beer Run and Walk will be on Saturday, October 17, 2015, behind Maverick Park in San Antonio. Several Texas breweries have donated and brewed beer to support this event.

“Tap-Tober 5K Beer Run and Walk” is a five (5) kilometer race benefiting the children of Project Angel Fares. The five-kilometer race is in conjunction with the San Antonio Current Beer Festival on Saturday, October 17, 2015, from 1:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tap-Tober participants will be given an event t-shirt, a bottle opener race medal and access to the participation tent for music and refreshments. Several sponsors have been secured, including the event’s title sponsor: Brewery Direct. Brewery Direct is a craft beverage supply company in San Antonio and Dallas.

Several Texas breweries are supporting Tap-Tober 5K Beer Run: Alamo Beer Company, Branchline Brewing Company, Karbach Brewing Company, Noble Rey Brewing Company and 4th Tap Brewing Co-op. In addition, Southerleigh Fine Foods & Brewing has collaborated with Brewery Direct to create a craft beer for the Project Angel Fares called: Orange Crème Angel Ale. A portion of the sales of this beer will be donated to Project Angel Fares.

About Tap-Tober 5K Beer Run and Walk

The Tap-Tober Beer Run is a 5K run/walk for those runners, active adults, San Antonio Beer Festival attendees and craft beer enthusiasts who are 21 & up. This 5K event is the official kickstart to the San Antonio Beer Festival on October 17. Every participant receives a race t-shirt, and the first 400 finishers will receive an awesome finisher's medal that doubles as a bottle opener and access to the several beverage and entertainment stations throughout the race.
