Belanie Dishong, Live at Choice LLC, joins other women leaders to help “weave the stories of women's lives” as we join together to honor the women's role in our nation's history
PRLog - March 30, 2015 - HOUSTON -- As we wind down March and National Women's History Month, remember this year's theme is “Weaving the Stories of Women’s Lives.” Numerous scholars and activists helped shape the Women’s History Movement, and also provided the research and energy which created and now sustains the National Women’s History Project. During 2015, we recognize and celebrate the many ways that women’s history has become woven into the fabric of our national story. The theme presents the opportunity to weave women’s stories – individually and collectively – into the essential fabric of our nation’s history.

Many women, specifically Business Owners, play a huge role in the world of women leaders in 2015, while possibly not considered in the national celebrations. When thinking about women leaders whose stories have had a significant impact on the recognition of women, Belanie Dishong, creator and founder of Live At Choice LLC, Houston, Texas, weaves her own story of “paying it forward” to women's groups on a national level. Belanie speaks to incarcerated women's groups, deaf women's groups and corporate women groups. All receive the message that women must learn to manage their mindset, and Belanie provides “12 Critical Rules to Having a Powerful Mindset” in her signature presentation.

Pay it Forward

Live at Choice LLC (http://liveatchoice.com) and Founder, Belanie Dishong choose to support non-profit organizations that bring peace and love into families and local communities. Here are some of the organizations we support:

eWomen Foundation - Through this foundation, eWomen members are able to build upon their philosophy: “It takes teamwork to make the dream work” and extend their reach to those who need it most. Live At Choice contributes through the donation of courses, workshops, coaching, books for auction at local chapters, cash contributions, book sales, support of local 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations at the local chapter level, and volunteering to build homes for America’s returning wounded war heroes and their families. http://liveatchoice.com

DeafHope - DeafHope is a non-profit organization, established for and by Deaf women in January 2003. The mission at DeafHope is to end domestic and sexual violence against deaf women and children through empowerment, education and services. In August 2007, Live At Choice began its first of many Beyond Circumstances Workshops for staff, board, volunteers and deaf survivors of domestic violence. It is our lifetime gift to this non-profit organization, helping bring hope, love and purpose to this community.

About Women’s History Month

Women’s History Month had its origins as a national celebration in 1981 when Congress authorized and requested the President to proclaim the week beginning March 7, 1982 as “Women’s History Week." Throughout the next five years, Congress continued to pass joint resolutions designating a week in March as "Women’s History Week." In 1987 after being petitioned by the National Women’s History Project, Congress passed Pub. L. 100-9 which designated the month of March 1987 as “Women’s History Month." Between 1988 and 1994, Congress passed additional resolutions requesting and authorizing the President to proclaim March of each year as Women’s History Month. Since 1995, Presidents Clinton, Bush and Obama have issued a series of annual proclamations designating the month of March as “Women’s History Month.”
