-- Cutting sodium without cutting flavor has long been one of the harder problems in home cooking, and it's the exact problem a seasoning brand has built an entire product line around. Igotchu Seasonings, a gourmet seasoning company known for its wide-ranging spice catalog, has spent the past year growing out its No Salt Collection — a lineup designed for cooks who are watching their sodium intake but still want bold, craveable flavor on the plate.

The No Salt line includes a No Salt All Purpose blend built around pepper, garlic, onion, and a mix of herbs and savory spices, designed to work across chicken, vegetables, meat, eggs, and pretty much anything else that hits a pan or grill. The collection also includes a No Salt Cajun blend that leans into bold Louisiana-style heat with onion, garlic, oregano, basil, thyme, black pepper, paprika, and cayenne, and a No Salt Lemon Pepper blend for cooks who want something brighter. Rounding things out is a Low Sodium All Purpose option for customers who want a meaningful reduction in salt without going fully sodium-free. The full collection is also sold in multi-flavor bundles, giving customers a way to stock an entire low-sodium pantry in one order rather than building it blend by blend.
The line's growth reflects something bigger happening in how people think about seasoning. Sodium reduction has become one of the more common, doctor-recommended dietary shifts in the country, but a lot of low-sodium products on the market have historically sacrificed taste to get there — leaving home cooks with food that's technically healthier but noticeably blander. Igotchu's approach has been to treat that as a flavor problem to solve, not a tradeoff to accept, layering in herbs, peppers, and aromatics to do the work salt usually does.
"Cutting salt shouldn't mean cutting flavor," said Mattias Caldwell Jones, Co-Owner and CEO of Igotchu Seasonings. "We built the No Salt line for people who've been told to watch their sodium and assumed that meant their food was about to get boring. Every blend in that line still has to taste like something — that's non-negotiable for us."

Jones oversees day-to-day operations for the brand, which is co-owned by founder Corinna Jones, who established Igotchu's original recipe development process. The No Salt Collection sits alongside the brand's broader catalog of more than 40 handcrafted seasoning blends, premium lemonade drink mixes, signature fried coating mixes, and themed bundles — but it's increasingly become one of the products customers specifically search for by name, a sign that sodium-conscious cooking has moved from a niche concern to a mainstream one.
That same philosophy is about to extend somewhere unexpected. Igotchu Seasonings is preparing to launch a new line of seasoning made for food that pets eat, applying the brand's same flavor-without-compromise approach to an entirely new category. The move comes as more pet owners scrutinize what's in their pets' bowls with the same intensity they bring to their own grocery lists, and it follows a pattern Igotchu has used before — taking a strength from its core seasoning business and pointing it at a new audience that's been asking for something better.
For a brand that built its name on proving healthier seasoning doesn't have to mean weaker flavor, the No Salt Collection has become something of a proof of concept — and the upcoming pet seasoning line suggests Igotchu sees that same idea working well beyond the human kitchen.
