Home Workout Isometric Exercise Socially Distanced Training Tips Report Launched

Fahrenheit Fitness has released a new report providing advice and guidance for those who want to remain fit while social distancing policies are in place.

Fitness advisory website Fitness Fahrenheit has published a new report entitled ‘Social Distancing Fitness: Here’s How You Can Stay Fit Outside The Gym’.

More details can be found at: https://www.fitnessfahrenheit.com/socialdistancefitness/

The new report provides advice for those who wish to continue working out while social distancing policies are in place, or for those who might not be ready to return to the gym after several months of inactivity.

The global pandemic changed many people’s daily habits. Some things, such as remote working, may be here to stay. Regardless of how people now go about their lives, the importance of health and fitness has not changed.

The report from Fitness Fahrenheit details several ways that people can remain fit without attending a gym, including indoor/home-based workouts, outdoor workouts, and activities to maintain mental wellbeing.

Whilst most people don’t have a fully equipped gym at home, the report suggests several stay-at-home exercise regimes that are just as effective as gym-based workouts.

Isometric exercises engage and stretch muscles with little or no movement. Isometrics use body weight for resistance and require a person to hold poses for a certain amount of time.

The new report details 3 different isometric exercises that can be used in any home. Planks are a well-known exercise used to strengthen the spine, rhomboids, trapezius and abdominal muscles.

The wall-sit is useful for strengthening gluteal muscles, quadriceps, hamstrings, calves, back, chest, abdominal muscles and hips. Squats are great for quadriceps, hamstrings, calves, abdominal muscles, lower back and core muscle strength.

For those seeking fresh air, the report explains a number of outdoor workouts that are great for fitness while remaining socially distanced.

Walking or running are both very effective exercises for burning calories, while also releasing endorphins that help to reduce feelings of anxiety or depression.

Similarly, bike rides give the legs a great workout, help to improve mood, and can be an interesting way to explore the neighborhood.
