Legal guide recognizes emerging leaders shaping the future of the profession
Cleveland Krist associate attorney Lourdes "Lulu" Ortiz has been selected for inclusion in the 2026 Lawdragon 500 X – The Next Generation legal guide, which spotlights lawyers who have distinguished themselves early in their careers through leadership, legal skill and professional accomplishment.
Lawdragon says the annual guide recognizes attorneys who are helping shape the future of the legal profession. Honorees are selected through submissions, independent research and peer review.
Ms. Ortiz represents plaintiffs and defendants in complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts. Before joining Cleveland Krist, she was a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Robert Pitman of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas.
Ms. Ortiz earned her law degree with honors from The University of Texas School of Law, where she served as an articles editor of the Texas Law Review. She received her bachelor's degree cum laude in sociology from Yale University and also has served as an adjunct professor at The University of Texas School of Law.
"Lulu is an outstanding lawyer whose intelligence, work ethic and sound judgment have made her an invaluable member of our team," said Tim Cleveland, co-founder of Cleveland Krist. "She approaches every matter with professionalism and dedication, and we're proud to see her recognized by Lawdragon among the nation's most promising young attorneys."
