Australian startup led by $2B founder Sam Kroonenburg gives away 3.1 billion free Meta ads.
Cuttable, an Australian startup using artificial intelligence to automate ad creation for ecommerce brands, today announced its launch in the United States. To celebrate, Cuttable is giving away 1,000 ads to every online store in America — more than 3.1 billion ads in total — for Meta platforms Facebook and Instagram.
Cuttable’s platform automates the creative process for brands that sell online. It connects to a Shopify or ecommerce store, studies the brand’s products and visual identity, and then generates ready-to-run image and video ads optimized for Meta Ads Manager. Within minutes, stores can launch high-quality creative that would normally take weeks and thousands of dollars to produce.
“Advertising shouldn’t be a luxury,” said Sam Kroonenburg, Cuttable co-founder. “Most ecommerce businesses spend more time trying to make ads than selling products. Cuttable fixes that. It turns your brand assets into hundreds of tested, high-performing ads automatically.”
Kroonenburg is one of Australia’s best-known tech founders. His last company, A Cloud Guru, sold to Pluralsight for US $2 billion in 2021. Along with co-founders Jack White and Ed Ring, he built Cuttable to help small ecommerce teams compete with enterprise-scale marketing output.
Cuttable’s AI engine blends advertising best practice, built by strategists and creatives from some of the worlds biggest ad agencies with AI to produce and test ads at scale. It follows Meta’s best practices and uses AI to identify what’s most likely to convert.
For Eidin Khial, founder of Los Angeles-based fashion label Ananke and former VP of Men’s at Fashion Nova, Cuttable has changed how his business advertises:
“As a founder managing design, logistics, and shipping, creating good ads was almost impossible,” said Khial. “Cuttable synced with our Shopify store and made 20 ads in 15 minutes that looked amazing and uploaded them straight into Meta. Even our Meta rep said they ‘checked all the boxes’ for winning creative. It’s a lifesaver.”
Cuttable has already been adopted by hundreds of ecommerce brands across the U.S. and Australia, including TileCloud, Salt Lab, Standard Procedure, Love in Faith, and Frank Body, helping them scale ad creation without expanding their teams.
To mark its U.S. debut, the company launched a guerrilla campaign across Los Angeles — from billboard trucks to celebrity mailbox drops — with the message: “Your Ads Are Ready.”
Cuttable recently raised US $6.5 million in seed funding led by Square Peg, with backing from Rampersand and Brand Fund (investors in Tracksuit and Ideally). The company’s U.S. headquarters will open in Austin, Texas, in early 2026, with plans to raise a Series A in early 2026 to support its rapid growth in the U.S. ecommerce market.
