The law firm of Federman & Sherwood has initiated an investigation into TD Ameritrade, Inc. & Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. a TD Ameritrade affiliate (“the Companies”) with respect to their recent data breach. On June 26, 2023, The Companies informed clients that the company experienced a data breach after an unauthorized party accessed sensitive consumer data entrusted to the company. According to The Companies, they determined that information stored on their servers may have been subject to unauthorized access between May 28, 2023, and May 30, 2023. The Companies determined that the information exposed in the data breach varies but includes, name and Social Security number, and also may have included one or more of the following: financial account information, date of birth, government identification numbers, or other personal identifiers.
