Dennis McDuffee Transitions His Leadership Role to Darrell Johnson

Intero, a Berkshire Hathaway affiliate and wholly owned subsidiary of HomeServices of America, Inc., is proud to announce the appointment of Darrell “DJ” Johnson as Vice President and Co-Managing Officer of the Gardnerville office. He is running the office with Jen Almeida, who took over the co-leadership role from Teddy Carlson-McKone in Q3 of 2022.

“Dennis started Intero Gardnerville with Teddy Carlson-McKone in 2010 and I speak for all of us when I say we are thankful to both of them for building such a successful business and office culture there,” said Brian Crane, Chief Executive Officer of Intero. “We are also very happy that they will be staying on with Team Intero, while DJ and Jen take the reins.”

Johnson's real estate background spans well beyond his nearly 10 years as a Realtor®. Before turning his focus towards real estate sales, he co-owned a national media firm with a full production staff delivering television, radio, and multimedia for some of the biggest names in the real estate industry, such as Inman News, RISMedia, ePro, and The National Association of Realtors.

If he is not on one of the ski slopes around Lake Tahoe, DJ enjoys spending time camping by one of Nevada's many lakes or playing in the high desert dunes. DJ and his wife are blessed to have raised their three children in the same community they both grew up in. To DJ and his family, home means Nevada, and he wouldn't change that for anything.
