PEWAUKEE, WI / ACCESS Newswire / August 31, 2026 / Marquis Who's Who is proud to interview and honor Jason Michael Gallup, MS HRD, SHRM-CP, for his distinguished contributions to human resources leadership, employee engagement, organizational transformation and talent development. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process. In Mr. Gallup's case, that recognition reflects a career centered on helping organizations grow by creating workplaces where employees feel valued, heard and supported.

Mr. Gallup serves as head of human resources for North America at Messer Cutting Systems Inc., having advanced to the position after joining the company as a manager in 2023. His responsibilities include managing major HR projects, overseeing daily operations, developing policies with executive leadership, handling employee relations, coordinating benefits, and directing employee training and professional development. He also advises international leadership on U.S. labor laws and regulatory requirements.
In his Marquis Who's Who interview, Mr. Gallup emphasized that effective human resources leadership depends on emotional intelligence, empathy and listening. His philosophy is to make HR accessible rather than intimidating, creating an environment where employees feel comfortable discussing concerns before small problems become larger organizational issues. He believes trust is particularly important in employee relations, where leaders must balance organizational risk with employee engagement and well-being.
One of Mr. Gallup's proudest accomplishments has been helping transform the culture at Messer Cutting Systems. Working within a traditional manufacturing environment, he challenged approaches that treated employees primarily as labor and instead encouraged managers to recognize their individual contributions. He has focused heavily on developing emotional intelligence among supervisors and helped recruit new executive leadership, including an outside chief executive officer and chief financial officer. In his interview he elaborates on "coming into the organization, which hasn't changed a lot in 30 or 40 years. We need to be the agents of change in the best way we can. We really turned the ship around for ourselves, both in terms of profitability and I think culturally."
Mr. Gallup's career began in retail, where roles at Target, Kohl's and The TJX Companies provided an early foundation in leadership, hiring and employee development. While at Kohl's, he recognized that human resources was the field that most closely aligned with his interest in helping people succeed. He later served in HR leadership positions with Great Wolf Lodge Resorts and Complete Mobile Dentistry, where he oversaw dental personnel supporting U.S. Army operations nationwide.
During his interview, Mr. Gallup explained that seeing other people grow has always been one of the most rewarding aspects of his work. The example set by his parents, both public-school teachers, helped shape that outlook. Watching them take pride in former students' accomplishments showed him how meaningful it could be to influence another person's development, a lesson he has carried into his own leadership career.
Education has also played an important role in Mr. Gallup's professional journey. He earned a Master of Science in human resources development from Villanova University in 2018 while working full-time and managing a demanding commute. He previously earned a bachelor's degree in liberal studies and communication from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and participated in an international history program at University College London. His credentials also include the SHRM Certified Professional designation and an HR Business Partner Certificate.
Looking ahead, Mr. Gallup is focused on succession planning, modernizing performance management, developing middle managers and creating stronger partnerships with technical schools and community organizations. He wants younger generations to recognize manufacturing as a source of meaningful, well-paying careers, while helping Messer become an employer of choice. He also sees artificial intelligence as a valuable HR tool when used to support, rather than replace, the human judgment and empathy that remain central to the profession.
"Jason Gallup exemplifies the caliber of people-focused human resources leader Marquis Who's Who is proud to chronicle," the editorial team stated. "His ability to combine empathy, strategic thinking and organizational transformation reflects a leadership philosophy that recognizes employees as essential contributors to business success." Through its interview and recognition of Mr. Gallup, Marquis Who's Who celebrates an HR executive whose work continues to strengthen workplace culture, develop future leaders and create meaningful opportunities for employees.
