Americas Cardroom Pro continues strong run ahead of the 2026 WSOP.

SAN JOSÉ, COSTA RICA / ACCESS Newswire / May 20, 2026 / Chris Moneymaker captured the Phil's Thrill PKO title before immediately advancing to the top of the leaderboard in the OSS #2 $1.5 Million GTD Main Event at Americas Cardroom.

The Americas Cardroom Pro secured victory in the $10,300 buy-in Phil's Thrill PKO last Sunday, a tournament that generated a $580,000 prize pool and attracted 58 entries. He earned more than $191,000 in combined prize money and bounty payouts.

Phil's Thrill PKO results included:

Moneymaker then carried that momentum into the OSS #2 $1.5 Million GTD Main Event, part of the $20 Million Online Super Series running May 11-25.

After advancing through a field of 827 entries, Moneymaker concluded Day 1A as the overall chip leader with 185.61 big blinds entering Day 2 competition this Monday.

The $1,050 buy-in tournament features a guaranteed prize pool of $1.5 million, with first-place prize money guaranteed to be at least $300,000.

More than two decades after his historic 2003 World Series of Poker Main Event victory, Moneymaker continues competing successfully against elite online poker fields. His original WSOP title run helped launch the global "Moneymaker Effect," widely credited with expanding poker's mainstream popularity.

With the World Series of Poker approaching and major poker broadcasts returning to ESPN, Moneymaker's latest tournament performances continue to draw attention across the poker industry.
