Recora Launches Aviary Health as It Expands Beyond Cardiac Recovery

Aviary Health helps health systems scale cardiac rehab, pulmonary rehab, and care management services

NEW YORK CITY, NY / ACCESS Newswire / April 7, 2026 / Recora, Inc. today announced that its care services business will now operate under the brand Aviary Health, reflecting the company's expansion beyond virtual cardiac rehabilitation into a broader set of services for health systems. The move marks a natural next chapter for a company originally built around cardiac recovery and now positioned to help provider organizations launch and scale more complex clinical programs.

Under the new brand, Aviary Health will represent the company's care-facing services, while the Aviary platform will power the workflows, automation, and administrative infrastructure behind those programs. Together, Aviary Health and the Aviary platform are designed to help health systems launch, operate, and scale end-to-end clinical programs through a combination of technology-enabled operations and expert human teams.

"Recora began with a mission to make high-quality cardiac recovery more accessible," said Ed Wu, MD, Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer. "Health systems need more than a narrow point solution - they need a trusted partner that can help them launch, operate, and scale clinical programs with the right care teams, operational support, and technology infrastructure. The launch of Aviary Health reflects how our work has evolved to meet those needs."

In addition to virtual and in-person cardiac rehabilitation, Aviary Health now supports intensive cardiac rehabilitation, care management, and virtual pulmonary rehabilitation for respiratory conditions including COPD. The brand is built to help health systems expand patient access and engagement in high-value programs without having to build every clinical, operational, and staffing component internally.

Aviary Health enters this next phase with a track record grounded in published evidence and health-system collaboration. Research published in the Journal of the American Heart Association found that the company's virtual cardiac rehabilitation model was associated with a 38.4% reduction in hospital readmissions, a 44.3% decrease in emergency department visits, and a 16.2% reduction in total healthcare costs over one year compared with center-based programs.

The company is also helping expand access to intensive cardiac rehabilitation through its collaboration with Mass General Brigham. In September 2025, Mass General Brigham and Recora, Inc. announced a collaboration to broaden access to the Benson-Henry Institute Intensive Cardiac Rehabilitation program, one of only three intensive cardiac rehabilitation models nationally approved by Medicare, through both virtual and in-person delivery models. That collaboration underscores Aviary Health's role as a partner for health systems seeking to expand access to evidence-based cardiopulmonary recovery services.
