Sydney Business School Alumni Launch Australia’s First AI-Driven Wholesale Investment Marketplace

Sydney Business School alumni Adnan Tanveer and Adam Newman are launching Investing Platform, Australia's first AI-driven wholesale investment marketplace, in Q1 2026. The platform addresses a key problem: qualified investors currently face seven months and thousands in fees to access a single alternative investment. The founders combine 20+ years of experience with hands-on AI development.

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA - Investing Platform aims to cut months of friction from wholesale investor access.

Adnan Tanveer and Adam Newman, both MBA graduates of Sydney Business School, are preparing to launch Investing Platform, Australia's first AI-driven marketplace for wholesale investment products.

The platform, scheduled to go live in Q1 2026, addresses what the founders describe as a fundamental infrastructure problem in Australia's investment market.

'The typical process for a sophisticated investor to access a single alternative investment can take seven months and cost thousands of dollars,' said Tanveer, who has over 15 years of experience in financial services. 'These are people with $2.5 million or more in net assets and decades of investment experience. The friction is not protecting anyone. It is just friction.'

Tanveer holds dual MBAs: an MBA in Investment Management from the London School of Business and Finance, where he attended on scholarship, and an MBA Advanced from Sydney Business School.

Newman, who brings five years of financial services experience and digital marketing expertise, added: 'The investors we are building for understand risk. They can read a product disclosurestatement. What they need is efficient access, not a process designed for someone who requires hand-holding.'

Unlike many fintech founders who outsource technology development, Tanveer and Newman build with AI tools directly. 'We are practitioners, not observers,' said Tanveer. 'We have spent hundreds of hours building with tools like Claude and Cursor. When we evaluate what AI can and cannot do in regulated environments, it is because we have tested it ourselves.'

The platform emphasises compliance as a design principle rather than an afterthought.

'Human oversight at every decision point,' Tanveer explained. 'AI handles document processing and data extraction. Humans make the decisions that require judgment. That is how you build something that works under regulatory scrutiny.'

Investing Platform will serve wholesale and sophisticated investors as defined under the Corporations Act 2001.
