State below in reasonable detail the reasons why Forms 10-K, 20-F, 11-K, 10-Q, N-SAR, N-CSR or the transition report portion thereof, could not be filed within the prescribed time period. (Attach extra sheets if needed.)
As previously disclosed by IMAX Corporation (the “Company”): (a) the Company has delayed the filing of its annual report on Form 10-K for fiscal 2006 and its quarterly report on Form 10-Q for the quarter ended March 31, 2007 due to the discovery of certain accounting errors and has since broadened its accounting review to include certain other accounting matters based on comments received by the Company from the SEC and Ontario Securities Commission, and (b) in light of these matters, the Company requires additional time to prepare its financial statements. The Company is currently working diligently and devoting necessary resources to complete the reports and filings as soon as practicable.
