This combined Form 8-K is separately filed or furnished by Pinnacle West Capital Corporation and Arizona Public Service Company. Each registrant is filing or furnishing on its own behalf all of the information contained in this Form 8-K that relates to such registrant and, where required, its subsidiaries. Except as stated in the preceding sentence, neither registrant is filing or furnishing any information that does not relate to such registrant, and therefore makes no representation as to any such information.
Item 8.01 Other Events
Recommended Opinion and Order in APS General Retail Rate Case
On July 26, 2017, the administrative law judge in Arizona Public Service Company’s (“APS”) general retail rate case pending before the Arizona Corporation Commission (“ACC”) issued a recommended opinion and order in the proceeding. The order recommends ACC approval of the regulatory settlement agreement proposed by APS and other parties to the rate case without material modifications and recommends that the new rates go into effect on September 1, 2017. Parties to the proceeding may file exceptions to the recommended order on or before August 4, 2017. Following the filing of exceptions, the recommended order will be considered by the ACC for a final decision.
